Ever since my camera broke sometime last year (a little point & shoot type) I had been using Mom's [bigger] digital camera, and Levi and I have both been sharing it. If we go on walks it usually ends up that one of us is left out of photos because that one left out is the one taking the pictures!

I had been wanting to get a new camera for me, and lately I was finally able to do so! I haven't gotten around to taking pictures of the camera itself yet, ( ) but I have been taking plenty of other pictures with it and trying to get the hang of the new feel, the new settings, etc. It is a Canon PowerShot SX10IS.

So I've been enjoying getting used to it, and the zoom is absolutely wonderful for zooming in on turtles or bullfrogs! I love getting pictures of frogs for some reason! And it even takes widescreen pictures! (A setting Levi particularly enjoys), which you can see an example of in the 2nd picture above.

We took the camera on its first outing the other day, out for a walk in the woods, but there wasn't much to take pictures of and I was still getting used to it by that time. Anyhow, we had a good walk, and on the way back stopped to sit down and rest on this beautiful patch of soft, green moss.

Well, that was our worst mistake…..and it only takes one word to describe it….seedticks! LOL! That was really a bad spot to pick to sit down on!

We had a great time with Megan while she was here! We made a quick trip to WV Tuesday, spent the night at my grandparent's, and gave Megan back to her mom on Wednesday morning. I think we took about 1,054 pictures while she was here (and then she took some too!).

We went bike riding, took walks in the woods, fished for frogs in the pond, took lots of pictures ( ), and even did some singing while she was here, with Levi's room set up as the sound studio (even had 4 microphones set up!). Levi has them all (the music tracks) uploaded on his new Music page, if you want to listen to any of them.

Right now we've only done 2 or 3 hymns and the rest are Scripture songs. I like The Love of Jesus, Come Bless the Lord, and Let love be the best so far! Of course, I like all the other ones too, but those are just my favorites!  You can go check out the rest of them on Levi's Music Page!

Today I had to go back to the dentist to pick up my new braces. I don't think I posted about it, but they had to take new impressions of my teeth for new braces, since the braces weren't grabbing a tooth properly and stuff. So, whereas I was on set number 22 of 25 (nearly done..), I'm now on set #1 of 21 for my upper teeth and set #1 of 11 for my bottom teeth. It'll be a couple more months now before I get close to finishing it them up again. And I was almost there, too! Oh well.

Today while I was up at the top of the field, I had noticed the guineas standing / walking around in a circle on the left side of the log pile, so I walked over there to see what it was they were looking at, and there sat a black snake right in the middle of them, curled up in a ball and hissing at them. I thought it was a rather funny sight! The guineas didn't seem to know what it was, so they were walking around it in a circle, just clucking and staring at it.

I grabbed a stick real quick and scared it away before one of them got the idea to get closer because of their curiosity. After I scared it away and starting walking back down the field, the guineas seemed to know all the fun was over and followed me on down. Silly things!

It was absolutely beautiful outside today! Warm weather (which was enjoyed by the animals as well), no rain, and sun! A perfect day for picture-taking, and we sure did take a lot of pictures (between Levi & I, today's total of pictures came to 315).

So, since it was such a nice day, I decided to let all the animals out early, including the chickens. Tiny, Puffy Buffy, and Dove were moved over to Woofie's pen for the day since I didn't want to put them in the rooster pen where it was all muddy and nasty!

I noticed some of Mom's Daffodil's (at least, I think they're daffodils) had bloomed, so of course I had to get some nice shots of them while I had my camera out! I am beginning to get really fond of flowers ~ they are wonderful to take pictures of!

Levi then wanted to take a hike through the woods to a nearby field so we could take pictures, and I was agreeable (since I hadn't been out there in what seemed like ages anyhow!) so we prepared to go!

Isn't that grass awfully green? Compared to everything else, it was a very bright green! I take grass pictures and Levi patiently sits down and waits for me to finish so he can take some pictures!

A good many pictures we took ended up being of each other, but I won't bore you with all of those. One of each ought to be sufficient!

Levi, me, and a place by the creek that we call "The Cliffs". The picture just doesn't capture the drop-off and distance down to the water! Of course, it is kind of hard to picture the distance unless you actually *see* it!

Meet Earl the Squirrel (the thing hanging out of Gabriel's mouth in the 1st picture). When we were leaving the vet yesterday we saw this really cute stuffed animal squirrel and we got him for Gabe. And since all his stuffed animals have names (and he knows them by name, too!) we named this one Earl. He loves it, too! He loves squirrels, so it just makes sense that he likes Earl!
