Order my Steps

March 4th, 2010 19 comments

Is it possible? Am I really turning seventeen today? That seems like such a big number! Just last year I turned sixteen. Now another year has passed already… wow!

It seems like, the older you get, the faster time flies. :P It's March already!! But, it was just January 1st, 2010! I don't ever remember the year going by that quickly when I was 12 & 14! Here below is a conglomeration of pictures I collected of myself since I was a baby – up till now (the last picture at the bottom was taken last month, I believe). I figured ya'll might be interested in seeing what I looked like when I was younger/smaller. :D lol…

O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens. I will praise thee, O LORD, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvellous works. The LORD is King for ever and ever:
(Psalms 8:1, 9:1, & 10:16a)

Thou art my God, and I will praise thee; thou art my God, I will exalt thee. Teach me good judgment and knowledge: for I have believed thy commandments. Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me. Make thy face to shine upon thy servant; and teach me thy statutes. Thy word is very pure: therefore thy servant loveth it. O GOD, thou art my God; early will I seek thee:
(Psalms 118:28, 119:66, 119:133, 119:135 119:140, 63:1)

The Same Yesterday

Brr, it has been cold out today! It's soo nice to have a warm wood-stove fire in the barn though, to be able to go there and warm up! :) Gabriel and Sunny are enjoying the heat too, I think. It's a lot better to be in there than to be outside where it's so cold with the wind blowing!

Megan and I were examining my braces / aligners earlier today, checking out the very first set I ever had and comparing them with the set I have in now.. and my, what a difference! It's kind of weird to see what my teeth looked like before, by looking at little plastic molds of them. :P In cold weather I kind of like having my braces, as it shields my (sensitive) teeth from the cold wind and air!

Oh, I finished reading Worth Dying For.. I thought it was a good book, though I didn't agree with the numerous references to a "sinful nature", otherwise it was a very good book to read. Next book to read on my list is Deliver the Ransom Alone by Verda J. Glick.

I thought ya'll might enjoy getting to see one of my new Scripture wallpapers. Since I've had TWF, I don't seem to post them here as much. :P I'll try to do that more often. Oh yes, and if anyone wants a custom wallpaper or blog tag done, please do request it. I enjoy doing requests! :)

Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to-day, and for ever.

Let no man deceive you

Little children, let no man deceive you: (1 John 3:7)

Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good. (Romans 12:9)

Even though the world makes halloween seem "cute" and "harmless", the warning still remains in Scripture; Little children, let no man deceive you! We are to abhor that which is evil, no matter how "cute" the world makes it look.

Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, (2 Corinthians 6:17)

Even though the world makes halloween seem "cute" and "harmless", the warning still remains in Scripture; Little children, let no man deceive you! We are to abhor that which is evil, no matter how "cute" the world makes it look.

The Love of Jesus

August 19th, 2009 7 comments

The love of Jesus to me is greater,
Than anything else I've ever known;
It reaches deeper, than any sin stain,
It reaches higher than heaven's throne.

(Chorus)
The love of God………is more to me
than all the world………could ever be;
It reaches down from the throne of glory,
And sets the vilest sinner free.

It brought the Savior from heaven's glory,
To give His life for a world of sin;
Tho' God of heaven, He condescended,
To prove to you that He is your friend.

(Chorus)
The love of God………is more to me
than all the world………could ever be;
It reaches down from the throne of glory,
And sets the vilest sinner free.

It giveth comfort to those in sorrow,
It bringeth peace to a troubled soul;
The love of Jesus goes in the by-ways,
To seek the sin-sick and make them whole.

(Chorus)
The love of God………is more to me
than all the world………could ever be;
It reaches down from the throne of glory,
And sets the vilest sinner free.

(Listen to The Love of Jesus sung by Levi, Lacy, and Megan)

Far Above Rubies

This is a new Scripture wallpaper I made up yesterday based on Proverbs 31:10. I thought I might as well post it in case anyone might like to use it as well. :D

far-above-rubies

Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.

And I also created a Scripture Tag in The GIMP for anyone who might want to grab it and stick it on their blog sidebar / website or whatever. :) I hope you enjoy them!

With Contentment

with-contentment

But godliness with contentment is great gain.
For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.

For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.

Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.

And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.
