Snow, and an infected paw

Yesterday we got our first "snow" in December! :) Not really much, but still a little. Enough to give some of the ground a white appearance, and make the barnyard muddier than it already was before it snowed!

And we just found out yesterday that Sunny has a infected cut on his front left paw (somewhere by one of his pads, I think), and so he's been hopping around on three legs today. Mom's been putting Peroxide and Tea Tree Oil on it, so hopefully that will help with the infection and swelling. I sure hope he gets better soon! Poor thing, I can tell he's not enjoying hopping around with a hurt paw.. he'd rather be running around huting mice!

Oh! Mom ordered me a few books the other day ( :D ), some I'd been wanting to read for a while, and I got one yesterday and I think the other came the day before that. The first one is called "Worth Dying For" by Nicholas Stoltzfus, and is a story of the Waldensians. The 2nd is "Deliver the Ransom Alone" by Verda J. Glick, which is a true story of a missionary's kidnapping in El Salvador, I believe. :)

Hannah's been wearing her new bell lately, as you can tell from the above picture. Doesn't she look cute with it? I think she likes it, too! Shadow wasn't too sure about it at first, lol, but he eventually got used to it. At least now we can tell where they are in the barnyard without having to see them (or have them see us and come galloping back!).

And there's Danny, trying to take a one-legged nap. :P

We live in the dry, dry desert–Carlsbad,NM
We usually never get snow…but this year God blessed us with snow that lasted a whole week!!!!!!!!
A man who has lived here said that this is the most snow he has ever seen in Carlsbad!
What a beautful blessing. Snow does have an infectios paw; it makes us giddy and happy for a LONG time!

That snow looks sloppy. We have about a foot of snow in the woods, which is about half as much as normal. I have Worth Dying For and am sorry to say I didn't enjoy it. It's more theology than story.

The snow looks lovely, you got a lot for the first time this month! :D
So now you need to change your blog theme for winter! LOL :P :P

Aww, shame I hope Sunny's paw gets better soon! Oh, how cute that bell looks on Hannah! :D Our geese often sleep with their one leg up, looks kind of funny! :P

I haven't read any of the books you mentioned but would be interested to hear how you enjoy them after you've read them! :D

    Love
