The departure of Megan, braces, and a snake

We had a great time with Megan while she was here! :) We made a quick trip to WV Tuesday, spent the night at my grandparent's, and gave Megan back to her mom on Wednesday morning. I think we took about 1,054 pictures while she was here (and then she took some too!).

We went bike riding, took walks in the woods, fished for frogs in the pond, took lots of pictures ( :D ), and even did some singing while she was here, with Levi's room set up as the sound studio (even had 4 microphones set up!). Levi has them all (the music tracks) uploaded on his new Music page, if you want to listen to any of them. :)

Right now we've only done 2 or 3 hymns and the rest are Scripture songs. I like The Love of Jesus, Come Bless the Lord, and Let love be the best so far! :D Of course, I like all the other ones too, but those are just my favorites!  You can go check out the rest of them on Levi's Music Page!

1st picture is one of Megan, me, and Levi, the 2nd picture is Mom and Megan's mom, Kelly. And the 3rd is Megan waving goodbye!

Today I had to go back to the dentist to pick up my new braces. I don't think I posted about it, but they had to take new impressions of my teeth for new braces, since the braces weren't grabbing a tooth properly and stuff. So, whereas I was on set number 22 of 25 (nearly done..), I'm now on set #1 of 21 for my upper teeth and set #1 of 11 for my bottom teeth. It'll be a couple more months now before I get close to finishing it them up again. And I was almost there, too! :( Oh well.

Today while I was up at the top of the field, I had noticed the guineas standing / walking around in a circle on the left side of the log pile, so I walked over there to see what it was they were looking at, and there sat a black snake right in the middle of them, curled up in a ball and hissing at them. :D I thought it was a rather funny sight! The guineas didn't seem to know what it was, so they were walking around it in a circle, just clucking and staring at it.

I grabbed a stick real quick and scared it away before one of them got the idea to get closer because of their curiosity. After I scared it away and starting walking back down the field, the guineas seemed to know all the fun was over and followed me on down. Silly things!

    Hi Lacey

You all seemed to have had a wonderful time together and you must have been quite sad to say goodbye to Megan. She looks like a sweet girl. Does she live a long way from you? The UK is not quite as big as the USA!

I have just listened to Come Bless the Lord and I really enjoyed it.

I do wish I could have seen the guineas and the black snake, but you would have scarcely had your camera at the ready . I can picture them inside my head though, and it is quite a funny picture! Honestly, you have such exciting adventures I don't know how anyone can think that your life must be dull or boring!

    God bless

    Lacy reply:

She lives about 6 hours away from us, but we met her halfway so it didn't take as long on either end. :) We were disappointed that we had to say goodbye so soon, but we're looking forward to having her back sometime in September, Lord willing!!

I'm glad you enjoyed the song!

Greetings Lacy, I found your blog through Megan's site. I have added you to my blogroll, since I appreciate uplifting sites like yours, and I'm sure I will be back to visit often. I'm glad you had a nice trip to WV. That is where my family lives. Currently my husband and I are in Kansas.
    Blessings,
    Amy

I wanted to ask if it was alright to borrow your two butterfly pictures. They are excellent and I want to use them as scripture backgrounds in church over the next couple weeks. I will give proper accreditation as always. Thanks :) .-= Eaglewings´s most recent blog entry – This is What Makes America Great =-.

    Lacy reply:

Yes, you may use them. :) I'm glad they turned out, too, seeing as they were my very first butterfly pictures! Do you need a bigger version of the yellow butterfly? I only uploaded that one as a 640×480, so if you need that one bigger, let me know.

Those really are excellent butterfly pictures!! My camera couldn't take a picture that close very well. Plus I'd scare the butterfly away before I could attempt a photo!
Also, the music on Levi's page is really great! Good job. I'm excited for Megan's next visit so I can hear more.
The same thing happened to me with my braces, only when the dentist said we'd have to start all over again, I said no way and didn't get them put back on! So much for straight teeth! ;)

My little 3 yr old niece sat here with me and listened to The Love of Jesus and she said "Thank you so much I like that song!" On my way to listen to all of them. Very good singing. :O) It blessed my soul today.

Great photos, and those butterflies are really pretty especially that blue one!
It's sad and really a pity when it's time to say good-bye! LOL But, all in all I'm glad you all had a great time and I'm sure you're looking forward to seeing Megan again in September! :D

Oh, and I loved the music! Besides that I also know a bit of what you all sound like! LOL :D
    You all sang very nice!

Well, lucky for you, I still wish my braces were invisible! I'm going to the dentist again on the12th, not looking forward to it at all! I think I should ask my dentist about the invisible braces! Wonder what he'll say! LOL.

The picture of the blue butterfly is so beautiful – I've never seen a butterfly like it in the UK! Glad you had such a good time with Megan. Wish I didn't live so far away from you, I'd love to see your farm with all your cute animals! A church family has a new golden retriever puppy and he's so cute and well-behaved!

I'm going to the dentist's on Monday :( I have crooked teeth and I think the way they've come up is pushing one of my canines out! Hopefully I won't need a lot of surgery, though none at all would be best! If you could pray for me I'd really appreciate it.
