First Blogoversary ~ 1 Year Old

feetIt's kind of hard to believe that I've actually been blogging for a whole year today. Time sure flies! Today also happens to be our official Barefoot Day, after which we are finally allowed to roam barefoot (once it quits raining and warms up, of course … it's a little bit more chilly in April this year that it seemed to have been last year!). Barefoot Day was first established on April 15th, 2005

The use of bare feet for transportation will be permitted once again for all country people below the young age of 50. Anyone who is over the age of 50 and is a city slicker MUST refrain from such privileges.

The chicks were just little when I started blogging, and now they all have grown so big and with so many different personalities. It's neat to be able to go back and see & read what happened all throughout the year, remembering what all we did, and especially the pictures along with it! I'm sure everybody knows, if they have been following my blog for any length of time, that I do love taking lots of pictures. :D

Blogging about everyday events and phrasing it in a way that makes them interesting instead of just plain dull has gradually improved my writing abilities (well, I think it has..), and it is so much more fun to think of ways to write it instead of "we did this" or "we did that" sort of things, don't you think?

Since we don't have any actual friends near us or around our area, blogging has been a great source of making friends for me. As Miss Jocelyn so aptly put it one time on her blog, "I love my computer because my friends live in it"!

I have greatly enjoyed getting to know all my dear friends through my blog and/or emailing, and you have all been such an encouragement and blessing to me! Thank you also for all the comments and thoughts you've left me over the months, I love seeing what my readers think and have to say about what we're doing or anything I've written! :)

I think it's rather humorous how people tend to think I'm so "isolated" from the rest of the world, and pity me for learning how to cook and such like things. A couple weeks (or months?) ago, I came across a blog where some women were discussing me behind my back (sometimes it's interesting to see what other people think of you!), and to tell you the truth, I had to laugh at some of the obnoxious things they were saying. One woman even said her heart broke reading my blog! LOL.

Just thought you'd be interested in seeing my pet mouse that I had about 6 or so years ago ~ his name was Porky. :D I caught him in Mom's bathtub, and he was such a cute little feller! Methinks Woofie was thinkin' he'd be a tasty little treat. :P

Happy Blogoversary! I can't believe other people were talking about you behind your back on another blog, that's just nuts! Your pizza looks very yummy in that picture, BTW. It's making me pretty hungry as I wait for my dinner to finish cooking ;)

    Hi Lacy!

Happy Blogoversary! I enjoy visiting your blog and it's been nice getting to know you! :)
Yes, I love my PC too. I don't think I could really do without it!LOL
People also think I'm isolated! It's funny how people see isolation! It's actually just the other way around! We have found happiness and contentment in following the plan God has for our lives – we chose to follow Christ!

All the best for this "Blog year"
    God bless you
    Jessica.
