Runt of the bunch
I got my camera out the other day and took some new pictures of Danny. I tried to take some of the guineas, too, but most of them didn't turn out.. I must have had the camera on the wrong setting. :P Anyway, Danny's picture turned out really nice, and he stood perfectly still for me to take a picture of him. He doesn't run away from me too much anymore, unless I get too close to him and he thinks I'm going to try to catch him! He is doing much better with the hens, too, though Jacob still goes after him whenever he gets a hen down.
Tiny is still the runt of the bunch, or more specifically, the half-blind guinea runt. But, don't let her fool you, she has mighty powerful wings, which I get to feel every night when I put her back over in the Hen House. Yesterday when I caught her, she was halfway inside the little door that goes into the hen house from the hen pen, and it was my mistake to catch her under the wings. There's lots of woodchips and dirt and other stuff inside the door right there, and she flapped and flapped her wings and put all that stuff on my jacket, all the way up to my neck! Ewwww! Instead of being smart and letting go of her (which I should have done) I just held my breath so all the stuff wouldn't go in my mouth!
Yay! A good upclose picture of Gabriel! He is such a cuddle puppy.
Though I did have a terrible time getting this picture, since he greatly dislikes looking at the camera. I had a long piece of cardboard dangling out my mouth (I was holding it very lightly with my lips) and he was able to see it right under the camera, which is why he is looking down slightly, since he was focused on the cardboard rather than on the camera. What I have to do to get a picture of this dog!
Earlier today we had a fire outside to burn up all the scrap wood in the burn pile, and everything burned up pretty quick, which was good since it started raining lightly after everything had burned up.
First picture shows the fire, but we didn't just toss everything on there in a disorganized mess, everything was just beginning to fall down, which Levi fixed shortly after I took the picture.
I thought it would be neat to have a upclose picture of the flames, so I zoomed in (since I didn't want to actually get that close!) and snapped a few.. This one turned out the best, I think! And there's Gabriel watching the flames disappear into the air.

I was inspired by the picture of the fire and was hoping you would allow me to use it for one of our worship slides in church. I am going to couple it with 2 peter 3:11. I will post it on my site as a background if you want to grab it and use it yourself. I will give you credit for taking the picture. If this is not acceptable use then please let me know. Thanks.
